I provide private overnight newborn care for families in Yorkville and across the Upper East Side. When you work with Storkville, I am the person who comes to your home and cares for your baby. You are not being matched with a rotating agency caregiver. That consistency makes it easier for me to learn your baby’s routine, follow your preferences, and give you a clear update each morning.
I live in Yorkville myself, so getting to your home is a local commute. I know the neighborhood well.
Parents often search for a “night nurse” when they need help overnight. The Storkville service is nonmedical newborn care focused on practical care, parent education, and overnight support in your home.
What overnight care can include
We agree on the plan before care begins. Depending on your baby’s needs and your feeding choices, a night may include bottle preparation, bringing your baby to you for nursing, burping, diaper changes, soothing, settling, and keeping a written record of feeds, sleep, and diapers. In the morning, I review the night with you so you know what happened and what I noticed.
My experience includes first-aid training and many years caring for single babies and twins. I also bring the practical perspective that comes from working with newborns in family homes, where every setup and routine is a little different.
Care that fits the early weeks
Families use overnight care in different ways. Some want longer nights during the first weeks at home. Some need several nights each week while recovering from childbirth or preparing to return to work. Others begin with more support and adjust the hours or number of nights as the household settles into a routine.
For the first two weeks, I’ll do five nights a week. After that, my preference is four nights per week, on the days you most prioritize care and support. Hours can stay steady, taper, or increase again when a spouse returns to work, travels, or grandparents are less available. Visit Services for current 8-, 10-, and 12-hour options and rates, then tell me your due date or baby’s age, preferred nights, feeding plan, and the kind of help you want overnight.
Working with a Yorkville newborn care specialist
Yorkville is a practical area for me to serve, including homes near East End Avenue and the surrounding Upper East Side. Before the first night, we can discuss building access, where your baby sleeps, where supplies are kept, how you want to communicate overnight, and what you would like included in the morning handoff.
If you are still preparing for your baby’s arrival, the Upper East Side New Parent Guide gathers useful neighborhood resources in one place. You can also read reviews from families who have worked with me.
To ask about Yorkville availability, use the contact form and include your due date or baby’s birth date, the nights you are considering, and whether you are interested in 8, 10, or 12 hours of care. I will follow up so we can discuss what would be useful for your family.
